We have two highly convenient pick up options – our professional loading service (our in house removals team loads for you) or our guided loading service (you do the heavy lifting). If you like, you can also bring your items directly to us and you can park right next to the units (often handy if you are moving from interstate).

How Mobile Storage Works
Modules Brought to You
Self storage modules are loaded into our purpose built, weatherproof trucks and then brought to your home for loading.
We have multiple size options and this cuts out the need to double handle your belongings – definitely the Smart Way to move and store.
Module Loading
Once on site, our highly skilled, in-house removals team carefully load your items (with removals blankets we supply) into the storage modules. We pack the modules in a way (tetris style) which maximises the space, and minimising the chance of damages. Also as we are reducing the amount of touch points (through no double handling) we are halving the chance of accidental damage.
We also provide the option to load the storage modules yourself for customers seeking to minimise costs. You do the heavy lifting at your home, and still enjoy the convenience of having mobile storage delivered right to your door. Our storage options are made to fit your needs, schedule, and budget without sacrificing convenience or security, whether you want expert help or a hands-on approach.
Module Storage
Once loaded, the storage modules are locked (you keep the keys) and returned to our secure, weatherproof facility.
We believe this is more secure than traditional self storage (where people are coming and going all night), and our facility is gated, locked, alarmed and covered by CCTV. You can book to access your storage unit 6 days per week, otherwise it is stacked in a warehouse and near impossible for break ins.

We can accomodate clients storing just a handful of bags/boxes through to the items from large family homes. We will generally try to bring spare modules to your door, a great backup if you had more than you initially thought (it happens!), which you only pay for if used.
Safe and secure
Our SmartWay Storage facilities are gated, fully secure warehouses with monitored alarms and CCTV. Your storage is only accessible when prearranged – which we argue is substantially more secure than traditional self storage.
Multiple loading options
We provide two loading options to suit your needs – the most popular is our in-house team loading the space for you, but you can also save by opting for a more DIY option. If your items are coming from interstate, we can have modules down for you (or your chosen moving company) to park right next to, indoors, for easy loading.

Are my goods safe using self storage modules?
The moving and loading is safer than traditional self storage as cutting out double handling reduces risk of accidental damage. When in storage itself, our facilities are gated, locked, covered by CCTV and have monitored alarms. Your units are near impossible for unauthorised entry as they are stacked in the warehouse – only you can gain access by booking this in with us in advance.
What if I only need a small storage container?
We can cater for students only storing a few bags and boxes with our storage lockers, and have 5 different sizes to accomodate all needs.
Are mobile storage modules accessible?
You can access, free of charge, 6 days per week by giving two business days notice to our team to book this in for you.
How big are the modules?
Sizes are as follows:
1m3*: 0.8m x 1.2m x 1.2m
3m3*: 1.5m x 1.2m x 2m
6m3*: 1.5m x 2.4m x 2m
8m3*: 1.8m x 2.1m x 2.1m
10m3: 1.8m x 2.3m x 2.4m

How do I estimate how many modules are needed?
The fastest and easiest way is to get in touch with us – we do this every day and can guide you in the right direction. We also have a storage calculator on our site which is a handy tool to estimate your requirements.
What if I order too many modules?
You only pay for what is used on the day – another benefit when compared with traditional self storage (where you still pay for a whole shed even if you only half fill it). We actually recommend ordering a spare module as it is great to have a backup and there is no cost involved if it remains unused.
Can I bring/retrieve items from your warehouse?
Yes certainly – some customers will opt to do this, particularly if you are moving to/from interstate. See info here for our Warehouse Move In option.
Are there weight limits on what I can store in a module?
The limit is about 1.2 tonne of contents per module- generally fine for household items. If you have a large quantity of heavy items or boxes, we may need to spread these out over multiple modules – or you could opt for our shipping container option instead.
Can I use the storage solutions for commercial use?
Yes we are a popular option for commercial clients with our convenient pick up options and easy drive up access. For larger commercial needs or if you have heavy/bulky items, consider our 24/7 drive up shipping container options.
