“Redland Bay is one of those areas the team genuinely looks forward to. The drive out is easy, the suburb is relaxed, and on a warm day those sea breezes make a big job feel a lot more manageable. We’ve done everything out here from small declutters to large family homes — it’s a good mix.
The islands are a different story. We do service Macleay Island, Russell Island and the other Southern Moreton Bay Islands via the Sealink terminal at Redland Bay — but it’s not something we do every week, and it requires proper planning. We learned that the hard way. On one job, our larger truck made it onto the island without issue — but a tide change meant the angle back onto the ferry at the return crossing was too steep for our truck to safely board. We were concerned about getting the team home that night. Fortunately the next ferry had a different ramp configuration that allowed the ferry to get closer to the onramp, and we made it back. Since then, island jobs go through a proper assessment first — vehicle selection, tide times, ferry schedules. If you’re on the islands and need storage, absolutely get in touch, we’ll work it out — just give us enough lead time to plan it properly.”
